FAQs

All of our instructors were trained by Lois Ellyn and proudly continue her distinctive approach to classical ballet training in Fullerton and Orange County. Throughout her career, Lois drew inspiration from both the Balanchine and Cecchetti methods. As a result, she developed a teaching style that combines strong ballet technique, musicality, artistry, and versatility. Today, our experienced faculty continues her legacy by providing high-quality ballet instruction for kids, teens, and adults. In addition, our instructors help students build confidence, develop strong technique, and grow into well-rounded dancers. Ultimately, we strive to preserve Lois Ellyn’s teaching traditions while preparing each new generation of dancers to reach their full potential.

The main studio at Lois Ellyn Ballet features a spacious 60-by-40-foot sprung-wood ballet floor. In addition, dancers can train in a smaller studio equipped with a sprung floor and professional Marley. Together, these dedicated dance spaces provide a comfortable and professional environment for ballet classes, rehearsals, and private lessons.

There’s a small parking lot behind the studio, accessible from the alley. You’re also welcome to use street parking if you find a spot nearby. Please do not park at the buisness next door.

No. Lois Ellyn believed that ballet training should focus on developing strong technique, artistry, musicality, and a genuine love for dance rather than competition. In keeping with her philosophy, Lois Ellyn Ballet Studio does not participate in dance competitions as a studio. However, we are happy to coach and prepare students who choose to participate in competitions independently through private lessons and individualized training.
